Meet Terri Reeves

I believe that health and fitness should go hand-in-hand and that optimum wellness is directly relative to balance in the body, mind, and spirit.

The body is a temple, for that reason a total approach to health is what I strive to provide for my clients. Balance can be achieved through exercise, lifestyle, and nutrition.

Therefore, taking an integrated approach to Fitness, I combine exercise coaching, nutrition counseling, and stress management techniques that will offer benefits of Total Health and Wellness.

I am dedicated to empowering my clients to create positive change in their lives, and I look forward to working with YOU!

Terri is the Owner of Body Temple Fitness and a Professional Natural Bodybuilder.  In addition, Terri is a certified judge for the North American National Bodybuilding Federation (NANBF) as well as the promoter for The 2011 NANBF Natural Central Valley Bodybuilding and Figure Championships.   She is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology (C.H.E.K.) Institute Practitioner Level 1 and Holistic Lifestyle Coach, and is CPR-Certified.  She is currently working on completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship from The University of Phoenix.  She started weight training in 1996 and began her competitive bodybuilding career in 1997.  She earned her Professional status in 1998.  Terri continues to compete at the highest drug free level, as she enters an average of three Pro bodybuilding shows a year. Most recently placed third in the lightweight category of the 2009 IFPA Pro Yorton Cup

Terri’s passion for fitness and nutrition began while working at a desk job for 18 years at Merrill Lynch. She joined the gym along with a few co-workers.  After only a few months of weightlifting and learning about eating healthy, she noticed a few curves appearing.  The passion for fitness has become “a lifestyle.”  After the tragedy of September 11, 2001, Merrill Lynch was downsizing the staff and asked employees to consider voluntary layoff s.  Hence, in November of 2001, she decided to take a leap of faith, leave the investment industry, and pursue a career in the fitness industry.

Born in Jersey City, NJ 1961 Terri grew up as a tomboy. Playing dodge ball and lining up the neighborhood kids at a caulk drawn starting line to see who raced to the corner the fastest.  As a very competitive girl, Terri excelled in several sports throughout grade school and high school.  Although she participated in sports in grade school and high school, the gym and eating healthy foods was not a priority.  She was unhealthy, kind of like a skinny fat girl.

Terri has learned a great deal through her own experiences, continuous research, and several great role models.  Her life purpose is to help others reach optimal health and vitality so they can enjoy life to its fullest.
